কক্সবাজারের টেকনাফের হ্নীলায় একটি বাড়িতে অভিযান চালিয়ে ৬৯টি হাতবোমা এবং বিপুল পরিমাণ বোমা তৈরির সরঞ্জামসহ ২ জনকে আটক করেছে বিজিবি। থানায় সোপর্দ করে অস্ত্র আইনে তাঁদের বিরুদ্ধে মামলা করা হয়। মামলায় দুজনকে গ্রেপ্তার দেখানো হয়েছে।

এরা হলেন চাঁদপুর জেলার মতলব উত্তর থানার নবুরকান্দি গ্রামের নজরুল ইসলামের ছেলে মো. সম্রাট প্রধান (৩৩) এবং নারায়ণগঞ্জ জেলার বন্দর থানার দক্ষিণ গারমোরা গ্রামের সাইফুল ইসলামের ছেলে মো. অন্তর (৩২)।

আজ রোববার ভোরে টেকনাফ উপজেলার হ্নীলা ইউনিয়নের ফুলের ডেইল এলাকার একটি বাড়িতে এ অভিযান চালানো হয়েছে বলে জানিয়েছেন টেকনাফ-২ বিজিবি ব্যাটালিয়নের অধিনায়ক লে. কর্নেল আশিকুর রহমান।

লে. কর্নেল আশিকুর রহমান বলেন, গ্রেপ্তার দুজন প্রাথমিক জিজ্ঞাসাবাদে দীর্ঘদিন ধরে একটি সংঘবদ্ধচক্র চুক্তিভিত্তিক বোমা তৈরি করে দেশের বিভিন্ন জায়গায় বিক্রি ও সরবরাহ করে আসছে বলে তথ্য দিয়েছেন।

লে. কর্নেল আশিকুর রহমান জানান, গোপন তথ্যের ভিত্তিতে হ্নীলার ফুলের ডেইল নামক এলাকার একটি পরিত্যক্ত বাড়িতে ভোরে অভিযান শুরু করা হয়। প্রায় ৩ ঘণ্টা ধরে ব্যাপক তল্লাশি চালিয়ে একটি জরাজীর্ণ ঘরের ভেতর থেকে ৬৯টি হাতবোমা, বিপুল পরিমাণ রাসায়নিক, সরঞ্জামসহ দুজনকে আটক করতে সক্ষম হয়। এ সময় বিজিবির উপস্থিতি টের পেয়ে বাড়ির আঙিনায় অবস্থানরত অপর দুজন ব্যক্তি দ্রুত পালিয়ে যান।

লে. কর্নেল আশিকুর রহমান জানান, জব্দ করা বোমা ও বোমা তৈরির সরঞ্জাম টেকনাফ থানায় হস্তান্তর করা হয়েছে। দুজনের বিরুদ্ধে নিয়মিত মামলা করা হয়েছে।

The BGB has arrested two people with 69 hand grenades and a large amount of bomb-making equipment in a raid on a house in Hnila, Teknaf, Cox's Bazar. A case was filed against them under the Arms Act after being handed over to the police station. The two have been arrested in the case.

They are Md. Samrat Pradhan (33), son of Nazrul Islam of Naburkandi village of Matlab Uttar police station in Chandpur district, and Md. Antar (32), son of Saiful Islam of Dakshin Garmora village of Bandar police station in Narayanganj district.

The raid was conducted at a house in Phuler Dail area of ​​Hnila union of Teknaf upazila early Sunday morning, said Teknaf-2 BGB Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Ashikur Rahman.

Lt. Colonel Ashiqur Rahman said that the two arrested gave information during initial interrogation that an organized group has been making bombs on contract basis for a long time and selling and supplying them to different parts of the country.

Lt. Col. Ashiqur Rahman said that based on secret information, a raid was launched in the early morning at an abandoned house in the area of ​​​​Phul Dail, Hnila. After conducting an extensive search for about 3 hours, two people were able to be arrested from inside a dilapidated house along with 69 hand grenades, a large amount of chemicals, and equipment. At that time, two other people who were in the courtyard of the house quickly fled after sensing the presence of the BGB.

Lt. Col. Ashiqur Rahman said that the seized bombs and bomb-making equipment have been handed over to Teknaf Police Station. A regular case has been filed against the two.
